Privacy Policy
Last updated August 20, 2026
This policy explains what information Chapter 190 collects through chapter190.io, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to email we send you. It does not describe how we handle a client district's financial records, which is governed by our engagement agreement with that district.
What we collect
When you submit a form on this site, we collect what you type into it — typically your name, business email, company, phone number and your message. We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information.
We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking pixels on this site. The only cookie we set is a session cookie on the partner demonstration, which records that a valid access code was entered and expires after eight hours.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To evaluate whether a partnership or engagement makes sense.
- To keep a record of our correspondence.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries directed at us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of vendors to operate the business, and your information may be stored in their systems: our customer relationship system (HubSpot), our email provider (Microsoft 365), and our website host (Vercel). Each processes information on our instructions.
We will disclose information if we are legally required to. Note that districts we serve are public bodies in Florida, and records held by a district may be subject to Florida's public records law independently of this policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a business relationship are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Records of an actual engagement are kept for as long as the engagement lasts and for seven years afterwards, which reflects the audit and record-retention expectations that apply to district financial work.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@chapter190.io and we will respond within 30 days. If you no longer want email from us, reply and say so, or use the unsubscribe link — we will stop, and we do not require a reason.
Security
Information is held in vendor systems protected by access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. We limit what we collect precisely so that there is less to lose.
Children
This site is for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
